It's hard to find painters who like to paint crowds and people dancing. I like Di Humans works, but I want to capture what it's like in the crowd not necessarily above it or from the musicians point of view.

Had a pleasant walk and brainstorm session on the beach with Phil, who commissioned me to paint on his surfboard. We talked about what kind of subject matter would fit it and decided on a sea turtle, because the top of the board is a pretty seafoam green.
